Board Minutes – 6/7/21
Attendees: Jay Binette, Brian Claffey, Katie Claffey, Carlo Ferreria, JP Grasso, Bridget Green-Salmon, Mark Janick, Melissa Janick, Melissa Maltese, Mark Mona, Mike Oney, Mike Erickson, Kristine Vincent, Steve Woronecki, Mike Wrabel
· NCCBL Playoffs – Playoffs will begin this week with Locks hosting the championship games
· All Stars – teams have been fielded for baseball, softball, and Juniors. Practices will begin next week. Volunteers will be needed to ensure that home games go well.
o All star baseballs have been purchased
· Equipment return – Look to get equipment back from the spring season potentially on Saturday June 19th. Mr. Claffey will also try and collect Tball and A ball this Saturday. Softball has been collected with the exception of Mr. Janick who will keep his equipment for All-Stars.
· Dairy Cream fundraiser brought in $100
· Summer Registration looking to get started on July 14th. Hope is to field AA, AAA, and majors divisions as well as AAA and majors for softball. East Windsor will look to be included again this summer. Last year $100 was charged. 3 sponsors have already been signed up to sponsor teams. Mrs. Janick will open the registration on the website fairly shortly. Mrs. Vincent will produce a flyer to promote on our website and social media.
· Juniors program in the fall will come back to WL along with East Windsor and potentially Suffield. Look for proposals to drive additional players to Juniors. Possibly have Juniors run clinics during the Little League season
o June 19th are the Juniors playoffs starting at 2:00 at both Reed and Vets. Volunteers will be needed to assist.
· Next month’s meeting will be on July 12th at 7:00 due to All-Star game on July 5th.
· Board decided to keep on meeting via Zoom until the end of 2021 and will then revisit to see if the Board wants to continue Zoom meetings or to meet in person.
