Board Minutes – 8/5/19

Meeting started @ 7:30

Attendees: Mike Erickson, Mark Mona, Chris Camara, JP Grasso, Mike Oney, Steve Woronecki, Rachel DeAlfi, Bob Norris, Bryan Stegman

Registrations for fall baseball will open on 8/6. WL will field a 50/70 team of 11/12 for the fall. Mr. Kervick will meet with the board of finance next week to try and secure funding for converting a field to 50/70 length. Home games for the fall for 50/70 will take place in either South Windsor or Enfield. The league will try and field teams for majors thru AA. Registration will end on 8/14.

Nominations will be required for open board positions prior to the September board meeting. A posting of the request will be made on Facebook and by email.

P.O. Boxes $122 annual fee for the smallest box.

Batting cages was approved to put one retractable batting cage on Pesci 1 and an additional one on Pesci 2.

Shed at Reed is owned by WLLL and was recently vandalized. The league and town will investigate getting bigger Job boxes at Reed and potentially sell shed. Mr. Janick has the bill of sale and paperwork from original purchase. Mr. DeAlfi will inquire with Kloter Farms to see if they repurchase sheds.

Look to add an A ball team for the spring season.

Softball scholarship email will be sent on 8/5 for board members to vote on. Voting should be completed by 8/7.
